Locked MD1 and MG1 ECUs unlocked and tuned the same day, instead of a four to five day send-away. Mobile removal and refit across North Wales, Chester and the Wirral, or mail-in for trade.
Late-model Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECUs are locked, so they cannot be remapped through the diagnostic port. Until now that meant sending the ECU away and losing the car for most of a week. KP Tuning now unlocks and custom remaps the locked Bosch MD1CS003 ECU found in 2021 onwards PSA 1.5 BlueHDi platforms (Bosch part numbers ending 037 and later) on the bench, working directly with our dedicated master bench technician in Warrington. Mercedes-Benz, JLR and BMW support follows shortly.
The 1.5 BlueHDi is fitted across the Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Vauxhall and Opel ranges from 2021, and the ECU is locked from Bosch part number 037 onwards. If your car is one of these and a tuner has told you it cannot be done, or quoted a week without the car, this is the service for it. Send the registration or the part number on the ECU label and we confirm it before you book.
These 1.5 BlueHDi platforms need a full system adaptation and a DeNOx reset after the software is written, so we handle the whole job from start to finish:
If you are outside our mobile coverage, or you are a trade garage with your own diagnostic reset tools, post the ECU directly to the Warrington bench hub. It is unlocked, flashed and dispatched back to you by tracked delivery the same day it arrives.
Removal and refit are done at your home, workplace or garage across Wrexham, Flintshire, Chester, the Wirral, Denbighshire, Shropshire and towards Manchester, the same area as our mobile ECU remapping. Further afield, use the mail-in option. Full list on areas we cover.
The 2021 onwards PSA 1.5 BlueHDi platforms (Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Vauxhall and Opel with the 1.5 diesel), on Bosch part numbers ending 037 and later. Send us your registration or the part number printed on the ECU label and we will confirm whether it is one we can unlock.
The MD1 and MG1 generation cannot be written through the diagnostic port once Bosch locked them. The ECU has to come out of the car and be unlocked on a bench, and most tuners post it to a specialist and wait four or five days for it to come back. We take it to our bench technician in Warrington and have it back the same day.
Yes. On the 1.5 BlueHDi the software write has to be followed by a full system adaptation and a DeNOx reset or the car will throw warning lights. We refit the ECU, carry out the resets and run live diagnostics before we hand the car back.
Yes. Trade garages with their own reset tools and customers outside our mobile area can post the ECU to the Warrington bench hub. It is unlocked, flashed and dispatched back by tracked delivery the same day it arrives.
Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover and BMW support for the same locked MD1 and MG1 family is being added next. If you have one of those and want to be told when it is ready, send us the registration and we will let you know.
