Software-based solutions for DPF and EGR issues, delivered on a mobile basis across the region.
Diesel particulate filters (DPF) and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems are common sources of fault lights and reduced performance on modern diesels. A DPF warning light or blocked DPF can lead to limp mode; an EGR valve fault can cause similar issues. KP Tuning offers software solutions for many of these problems across North Wales, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Chester, the Wirral, Shropshire, Manchester and surrounding areas. We work on a mobile basis and carry out DPF problem diagnosis before recommending any fix. We come to you at home, work or a workshop.
A blocked or failing DPF can trigger the DPF warning light, limit power or cause the car to go into limp mode. In some cases the issue can be addressed with software — for example, DPF regeneration support or calibration adjustments — after we've checked the vehicle and confirmed the cause. We don't promise a fix for every DPF problem; we carry out DPF problem diagnosis first and then advise on the options. Our diagnostics help us see what the car is reporting before we recommend any work.
An EGR valve fault is another frequent cause of dashboard lights and poor running. Depending on the vehicle and the fault, software can be used to address EGR-related issues. We assess each case individually and only suggest work that we believe is appropriate for your vehicle and its condition. As with all our emissions-related work, we explain what we're doing and why.
We're often called out to Wrexham and nearby Flintshire towns — Mold, Buckley, Shotton, Queensferry, Connah's Quay, Flint and Holywell — as well as Chester and the surrounding area, for DPF warning lights, limp mode issues and EGR faults. If you're in North Wales or close by and have an emissions problem, we can usually arrange a mobile visit.
We cover North Wales, Wrexham, Chester, the Wirral, Shropshire, Manchester and beyond. Whether you're in Flintshire, Oswestry, Whitchurch, Shrewsbury, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Bangor or the wider North West, we can arrange a visit. You don't need to drive to a workshop — we bring the equipment to you. See our areas we cover page for the full list.
We start with a diagnostic check to understand the fault. From there we can advise whether a software solution is suitable or if other work (such as physical repair or replacement) is needed. We also offer AdBlue solutions for vehicles with AdBlue-related faults, and general vehicle diagnostics if you simply need a fault code read or clear. For performance work, see our ECU remapping page.
A blocked DPF can trigger the DPF warning light, reduce power or cause the car to go into limp mode. In some cases software solutions such as forced DPF regeneration or calibration adjustments can help, but we always diagnose first to confirm the cause and advise on the best option.
Yes. We carry out DPF problem diagnosis using dealer-level diagnostics. If the DPF warning light has appeared or you suspect an issue, we can read the fault codes and live data to assess the situation before it gets worse. Early diagnosis often gives more options for a fix.
EGR valve faults are a common cause of dashboard lights and poor running. Depending on the vehicle and the fault, we may be able to address EGR-related issues with software. We diagnose first and only recommend work that is appropriate for your vehicle.
