AdBlue Solutions · Wrexham
AdBlue and SCR fault finding in Wrexham, at home or at your unit.
AdBlue faults have a habit of arriving with a countdown, and once the car tells you it will not restart in a set number of miles, it becomes urgent quickly. We come to you in Wrexham, read the SCR system properly and tell you where you stand.
The vehicles most likely to meet an AdBlue problem around Wrexham are the ones doing a living. Transits, Sprinters, Transporters, Rangers, Hiluxes and L200s running out of the Industrial Estate or off farms west of town cover real mileage, and the SCR system on a working vehicle sees far more use than one on a car that does a short commute. Cold weather adds to it, because AdBlue freezes below about minus eleven degrees and the heater circuit that deals with that is itself something that can fail.
We cover Wrexham and the Industrial Estate, Rhostyllen, Ruabon, Chirk, Gresford, Llay, Marchwiel, Coedpoeth and Brymbo, and out into Flintshire for Mold, Buckley, Flint and Connahs Quay. See our areas we cover page for the full list or get in touch to confirm we can reach you.
Diesels with AdBlue use a urea based fluid dosed into the exhaust to cut NOx, and faults come from several places: the fluid level or its quality, the level and quality sensors, the dosing injector, the NOx sensors, the pump, or the heater circuit that stops the fluid freezing in winter. Those look nearly identical from the driving seat and are not remotely the same job underneath. We diagnose with dealer level equipment first and tell you honestly what the options are.
Tell us the number when you get in touch. A vehicle warning you about a restart limit is on a different footing to one showing a general fault, and it changes how quickly it needs looking at. It also matters whether the warning appeared after a top up, because a bad batch of fluid, a contaminated tank and a genuine sensor fault all present in similar ways and are not sorted the same way at all.

Get in touch and tell us the number showing and what the vehicle is. A restart countdown puts a job in a different category to a general warning light, and we would rather know that up front than find out when we arrive.
Common, and there are several reasons. The quality sensor may have judged the fluid, the tank may have picked up contamination, the level sensor itself may be at fault, or the system may need the fault clearing after a genuine top up. Reading the system tells us which of those it is.
It can. AdBlue freezes at around minus eleven degrees and vehicles have a heater circuit to handle that. If that circuit fails you get warnings in cold weather that seem to clear when it warms up, which is a useful clue and worth telling us about.
It appears when the system detects a fault or a low fluid level, and it tells you how many miles remain before the vehicle will refuse to restart. It is a legal emissions requirement rather than the manufacturer being awkward. Deal with it while the number is still large.
