Oswestry, Whitchurch, Ellesmere, Wem, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury.
Shropshire is a large county with the towns spread well apart, so we come to you. Houses, yards and farms are all normal for us, and Oswestry in particular is a short run down the A483 from where we are based.
A lot of what moves around this county is doing a job: pickups, 4x4s, flatbeds and vans that tow, carry or spend hours on a yard. That produces a diesel problem people find genuinely counterintuitive. A particulate filter needs exhaust heat, and heat comes from load rather than running time, so a vehicle that does plenty of hours manoeuvring, idling and working slowly can block a filter while its owner reasonably thinks it does more than enough miles. Dust and vibration off tracks and yards add their own faults on top.
If you tow, Stage 1 is the service where the difference is easiest to feel, because pulling weight uses torque low in the rev range. If a filter or emissions light has appeared on a working vehicle, read the DPF page, because the explanation out here is usually about load rather than mileage. For anything with a countdown on the dash, treat AdBlue as urgent.
Oswestry, Whitchurch, Ellesmere, Wem, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury, along with the villages between them. We are regularly on the A483 and A5 towards Chirk, Ruabon and Wrexham. If your town is not named, check areas we cover or ask, and we will tell you straight whether we can reach you.
Oswestry, Whitchurch, Ellesmere, Wem, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury are all normal coverage. If you are beyond that, ask, and we will give you a straight answer rather than leave it vague.
Tell us the make, model and year when you get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can read before either of us travels anywhere.
