An AdBlue warning on a working vehicle in a rural county is a problem with a clock on it. Once the dash starts counting down to a no restart, the vehicle that earns is the vehicle about to stop. We come to you and read the system properly.
SCR systems on agricultural and commercial vehicles have a harder life than the same system on a road car. Dust gets everywhere, tracks and yards mean constant vibration through connectors and lines, and low speed working keeps exhaust temperatures below what the system was designed around. That combination brings on the familiar faults sooner: injector crystallisation from dosing into an exhaust that is not hot enough, sensor and wiring problems from vibration, and quality readings affected by what has got into the tank.

Diesels with AdBlue use a urea based fluid dosed into the exhaust to cut NOx, and faults come from several places: the fluid level or its quality, the level and quality sensors, the dosing injector, the NOx sensors, the pump, or the heater circuit that stops the fluid freezing in winter. Those look nearly identical from the driving seat and are not remotely the same job underneath. We diagnose with dealer level equipment first and tell you honestly what the options are.
AdBlue does not keep indefinitely and it does not tolerate contamination. A part used container standing in a shed through a summer and a winter, or a funnel that has had something else through it, is a genuinely common cause of a quality fault that appears right after a top up. If you filled from a container rather than a sealed pack, tell us. It is not a criticism, it just points us somewhere specific straight away.

Quite possibly. AdBlue is sensitive to contamination and to long storage, and the quality sensor may simply be doing its job. Worth mentioning up front because it narrows things down immediately.
It contributes. SCR needs exhaust heat to work cleanly, and dosing into an exhaust that never gets properly hot is what leads to crystallisation around the injector. Same underlying cause, different component.
It appears when the system detects a fault or a low fluid level, and it tells you how many miles remain before the vehicle will refuse to restart. It is a legal emissions requirement rather than the manufacturer being awkward. Deal with it while the number is still large.
